When you become a member, you can join us in Marietta for our weekly training run.
You can go as many or as few miles as you like, but usual routes are 4-7 miles and there are runners of all paces.
Runners can park in the lots on Kirk Rd (directly across the street from the park gate) or in Mulkey parking lot (after 5pm only) located at 904 Kennesaw Ave or at Northwest Exterminating (200 meters south from the park gate-830 Kennesaw Ave).
On the 1st Tuesday of the month GUTS orders pizza! So, bring a chair and your favorite beverage and enjoy some time with your fellow GUTS members
Meet at main kiosk at start of trail for a ~5mile social run. Done by 8am. Snacks afterwards
We are hitting the ground running (literally) at 7. So if you're late, catch up :-)
Join us at gorgeous Fort Mountain State Park, site of Mystery Mountain Marathon & 12-Miler (Oct. 18). Join us for a taste of the twists and turns, the rocks and roots, the scenic views and spider webs, the mystery and mountains you'll experience in October.
This is a great chance to scout the course or inspire you to sign up! Runs will start and end at the lakeside lot, so bring a chair, some snacks, your cooler, and a towel if you plan to take a post-run swim. There will be snacks after, and please bring something to share!
8- and 13-mile routes. Water is mandatory for anyone running, and gels are strongly encouraged. The 8-mile route will mostly be on the Gahuti Trail, and the 13-mile on the rugged 301 MTB Trail. Get an idea of the climbs and drops from the Fort Mountain State Park trail map.
