What
Marathon and 12-mile trail races traversing difficult, sometimes technical but stunningly beautiful trails, featuring panoramic views of fall foliage displayed on the surrounding mountains. Climbing and descending for more than 15,000 feet of elevation change, runners will enjoy single track, rugged mountain bike, and smooth horse trails while running over and around Fort Mountain, passing the mysterious rock wall built at the top of the mountain over 1,000 years ago.
Where
Fort Mountain State Park, located in Chatsworth, GA, 90 miles north of Atlanta. The Start and finish lines are located at the Main Group Shelter, located by beach.

Fees
Marathon: $50 postmarked by September 1st; $65 thereafter
12 Miler: $35 postmarked by September 1st; $50 thereafter
GUTS members receive a $5 discount
Combined races limited to 250 participants
Only entries received by September 10th will have guaranteed shirt size.
ALL mail-in entries must be postmarked by October 1st.
No refunds. No transfers. No exceptions.
A portion of our proceeds will go towards support of Fort Mountain State Park.

Main Group Shelter, located at the lake and beach. Parking and restrooms located at start/finish.
Awards
Women/Men: Top 5 overall
1st place masters & grandmasters.
Marathoner finishers will receive a special finisher’s award.
No duplication or mailing of awards.
